Jeff Hoxtell Instructor Profile

IKO Level 2 Senior

Jeff starting sailing when he was 6 years old and then windsurfing at 10. As a youngster he competed each summer in youth monohull racing and crewed in yacht races. Later in 1999 living in Corpus Christi, TX he saw his old friend Olaf Johannsen kiteboarding in the surf and knew then this was his next wind sport. After learning to kite he sold his business and moved to South Padre Island. He is currently focusing on wave riding (kitesurfing), and is excited to start kite skimming.

Private Lessons with Jeff - $250/hour

Jeff is the most qualified kiteboarding instructor at Air Padre. He has been teaching the sport at all levels since 2003. Private lessons with Jeff are the best way to maximize your learning on the water. Pricing starts at $250/hour.

Jeff's Testimonials

Attention all kiters and future kiters! I have had several lessons from Air Padre and can't say enough about the staff. The first two trips I made to the island I took lessons form beginner to intermediate. If your going to learn to kite "TAKE A LESSON FROM AIR PARDRE" At the end of my second trip Jeff had told me that he could improve my kite boarding skills two years in two hours, at fist I thought he was nuts, but I took him up on it my third trip. He cost more then the normal lessons but it's well worth it. I'm 50 years old and an athlete but as most at 50 fearful of injuries, Air Padre if very conscious of your skills and where you should be when giving lessons, Safety is First and Foremost!! Air Padre Kiteboarding should be your first choice when taking lessons on South Padre Island. See you on the water.
