You won't believe the level of service and comfort offered in our Private kiteboarding lesson. Our experienced instructors who are highly trained by PASA and IKO, lead you out for a true wind and water adventure.
The private kitesurfing lesson features one of our 20+ ft boats with plenty of room for coolers, extra kites and boards, spectators and photo journalists. Air Padre Kiteboarding provides all kiteboarding gear and equipment on the lesson. Including, but not limited to: boats, up-to-date safe kites and bars, kiteboards, safeties, radio helmet, impact vest, booties, and harness.
The chances of losing a good day of kite boarding are reduced greatly with the flexibility of this world-class kite surfing location. The other huge benefit of the mobility we have built into our kiteboarding program is the quality of wind. Schools which run from a specific location have to deal with variances in wind direction and gusty conditions. Regardless of where we setup for your kitesurfing lesson you can rest assured that you will be learning in the best conditions South Padre Island has to offer.
Often times in the summer this might involve a trip across the bay. As many return kiters know there is an experts only launch on the mainland called Holly Beach which boasts fine stands of Prickly Pear Cactus, barbed wire fence, the occasional concrete boulder and the black stink-mud bottom. We offer you the opportunity to get out to the best flat water conditions in Texas and skip the nasty, unsafe, kite-eating launch. The cruise across the bay is about 20 min., however we often stop half way at the spoil banks and start there in order to have more space down wind.
Wind and water adventure seekers appreciate that we have scouted out several islands along the mainland coast from which you can launch kites from. You can also launch from the boat from anywhere else you choose. We use megaphones and/ or radio helmets for your VIP kiteboarding lesson which allow you to clearly hear the instructions be being given.
With the steady breeze blowing through your ears and the warm bay waters splashing all around it can be difficult to hear your kite boarding instructor, even if he's screaming at you. Screaming at you?!?

We require a $50 deposit towards all kite Boarding Lessons to reserve the date and time.
Cancellations must be made at least 5 business days prior to lesson reservation date for a refund. For cancellations made within 5 business days of reservation, we will be happy to offer a rain check or apply deposit towards store credit. If lessons are canceled by Air Padre Kiteboarding because of weather, wind or other reasons, and not successfully rescheduled, deposit shall be refunded.
