Minnesota kiteboarders from Lakawa are taking their seasonal spring trip to South Padre Island. April 7th - 18th will be dates for the Kite Surfari trip for the 'Lake Area Kiteboarders'. This has become a semi-annual event for Air Padre and Lakawa crew, and this year we are teaming up to provide even more activities. Great winds, after session beach bonfires, kayak and SUP designated days, and more make this a great time!
The Lakawa after session bonfire will be held on the North Flats at sundown on Tuesday April 12th. We are finalizing the details about music and food that will be provided during the night time event. For questions or concerns contact Mike@lakawa.com or call 612-296-3201.
For the Lakawa group only, Air Padre is offering huge rental discounts on SUP rentals and rental kayaks. Two "no/low wind days" will be designated where you the Lakawa group will have access to our 5 SUPs or 5 Kayaks.
Additionally, if you are looking for kiteboarding lessons call the shop at 956-299-WIND (9463) to reserve the date and time in advance. Some of Lakawa more proficient riders may also be interested in our boat guided downwinders! Kiteboard for hours with your buddies or by yourself with a support boat trailing you downwind as you go.
