Lakawa (Lake Area Kiteboarding and Windsurfing Association) Kiteboarding is coming to South Padre this Fall. Air Padre has gotten together with the guys to plan some special events for the kiteboarders from Lakawa. There will be a bonfire held Saturday, November 13th at the end of the road, which is 8 miles north of town. BYOB and bring any smores or food that you want to cook out as well! There will be a $10 fee for anyone who doesn't bring their weight in wood. Contact the shop if you have any questions about the exact location and time.
For the Lakawa group only, Air Padre is offering some great discounts. On the off chance there is no wind any day, all stand up paddleboard rentals and kayak rentals are half priced! That's $12.50/ day on the kayaks and $32.50/ day for SUP rentals.
Call the shop at 956-299-WIND (9463) to book kiteboarding lessons in advance. Some of Lakawa more proficient riders may also be interested in our boat guided downwinders! Kiteboard for hours with your buddies or by yourself with a support boat trailing you downwind as you go.
