June 20th, 2010 is International Surf Day! The idea is simple, go surfing. Here at Air Padre Kiteboarding, we won't limit you to surfing as its generally thought of, but surfing, kite surfing, stand up paddlesurfing, and kayak surfing are all various forms of surfing that count! International surf day is meant to bring beach lovers together, celebrate surfing, and clean up trash. We all owe it to our beach that we use and the wildlife that inhabits it to keep it trash free and clean. So on Sunday, June 20th, which also happens to be father's day, go to the beach with family and friends and spread the good vibe!
South Padre Island, Texas will be participating in the Intnl. Surf Day. There will be two surfing clinics held at Isla Blanca County Park starting at 8:30am, which include: surfboards, t-shirt, and lunch 11:30am. The event is free, but spots are limited to children ages 5-13.
Air Padre Kiteboarding will be aiding in International Surfing Day by supplying surfing lessons, and SUP rentals on the beach for anyone to come out and try. If you are interested in kitesurfing lessons or renting kayaks you can stop by the shop at 5709A Padre Blvd, or call for direction 956-299-9463, and learn a new water sport today!
