Beginning January 4th, 2010, visitors to South Padre Island arriving through the Harlingen Valley International Airport (VIA) are able to by-pass car rentals and expensive taxi services, and choose the "South Padre Shuttle" for a fast way to the island.

Travel like a rock star to South Padre Island in up-to-date, air-conditioned shuttles, with TV monitors for viewing pleasure! Door-to-door service from Harlingen Valley International Airport to your personal condo or hotel room. The shuttles seat 24 passengers, with full reclining seats, as well as full windows of the sights as passengers travel the 50 minute drive to the island. Every shuttle is compliant with all ADA regulations along with easy-access wheelchair lifts, and over head bins and racks to store luggage during transportation. The South Padre Shuttle is equipped with GPS technology to keep passengers updated on travel itinerary and location. The GPS is tied to the reservation system which texts passengers that are looking to leave the island, when the shuttles are thirty minutes away.
