Air Padre Kiteboarding donates several kites, boards, bars and lines to the University of Texas at Brownsville Kiteboarding Association.
The club which was started this fall by Teresa Larson (a South Padre Island Native) and ten other students at the UTB College are all excited to receive the gear.
Now the students will have access to gear themselves to practice the sport of kite boarding on their own and in a club setting.
We think that the college kite boarding club is a great way to get younger people into the sport.
They are now a part of the CKA and can compete at the national college kiteboarding circuit. The national final is held in Corpus Christi in the Spring.
