Free kiteboarding instruction is being offered again this spring season after shop hours. The free Higher Education kiteboarding lessons will be held Friday and Saturday; mornings and evenings. Lessons will range from kite and board repair, kite and wind basics all the way through advanced lessons on transitioning and jumping. The after hours classroom time is by request only. Stop into the shop and reserve your date and time, or call us at 956-299-WIND.
Bill Gehring, a level II IKO qualified kite instructor will be the instructor for the course. Bill has been teaching the sport of kiteboarding for 4 years on South Padre Island, Texas, which has given him ample experience and knowledge. This spring, Bill will hold these Higher Education classes every Friday evening, Saturday Morning and Evening, and Sunday Morning and Evening.
The purpose for the Higher Education classes is to give students more classroom knowledge while they are here. We know not everyone is thrilled about simply talking about the ideas and theories of getting better in the sport, but that is why its free! If you are seeking additional information and want to get every ounce of knowledge on the sport while you are hear then the classes are for you.
